I believe that the traditional values and
national characteristics of a country do not necessarily shine through when
visiting solely its capital. Thus, the natural treasures, the unique features
of the countryside and small towns shall be brought forward on this website.
Global standardisation has partly resulted in
the surpression of old values, where the process of development – as we
percieve it – is in fact not necesseraly the development we needed. 'Simple'
doesn’t mean boring, 'natural' doesn’t mean uncomfortable and 'old' doesn’t categorically
equal useless.
By drawing the attention to the ’not so
popular’ parts of a country, the chance of being noticed and supported to continously
preserve traditions and old workings is given to them. At the same time, the
visitor gets a chance to get a deeper understanding of another nation’s life and habits. This could be a so called cultural fair trade of the future.
